A 25 year fascination with light, the color blending of transparent watercolors, combined with a lifelong love of all things Judaica and glass, came to fruition as we moved to Tucson. The Sonoran desert sun, the luxury of time and the long missed availability of space combined under the stars and glass design’s mezuzahs, pendants and art were born. This Petri dish cocktail mixed with dichroic glass slabs, undergoes kiln firing temperatures as high as 1500 degrees and …… voila! – these little miracles matured. Enjoy each piece; it is one of a kind, like our lives, like the colors that surround us. We hope you cherish it, it was made with love. Daryl Cohen & Kevin Frosch

What is Dichroic Glass? Dichroic glass is glass containing multiple micro-layers of metal oxides which give the glass dichroic properties. The invention of dichroic glass is often erroneously attributed to NASA and its contractors, who developed it for use in dichroic filters. Dichroic glass dates back to at least the 4th century AD as seen in the Lycurgus cup.
